Versatile actor Kevin Bacon met actress Kyra Sedgwick on the set of a PBS version of the play Lemon Sky. They were married on September 4 of 1988. The couple have a promise to each other that neither will work on a project while the other is. Kevin had his entire family present during the filming of the movie The River Wild. The media states that singer and actress Ashlee Simpson met Peter Wentz at a Rolling Stones photo shoot that occured at the opening of Wentz's bar, Angels and Kings. Rather then an engagement ring, Pete gave Ashlee a promise ring first as a sign that he had yet to ask her father for her hand.
Ashlee announced the engagement on MTV's "Total Request Live" television show. The marriage was conducted by Ashlee's father Joe Simpson. Ashlee has taken her husband's name and is now going by Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
